Haerland

A world where happy endings are shadowed by scarlet moons, the darkness is untamed, the creatures are cursed, the wind is a warning, and fire rules.

Dead Moons Rising, Book One

Aydra Ravenspeak has lived peacefully in the kingdom of Magnice her entire life. She rules as Queen over the northwestern realm of Haerland with her loving brother, King Rhafian Sunfire, and her younger siblings. Their kingdom knows only prosperity, sanctuary, and peace. A loving home for all their people.
Of course, these are all lies.
When Aydra rides out to the Forest of Darkness for the rise of the Dead Moons, she is injured in the enemy king, Draven Greenwood’s, realm. What she learns whilst recovering there shatters the world she knows. She has been engulfed by lies within her own kingdom. Forced to smile and dine at banquet as nothing more than a trophy. Given a title no person ever intended on allowing her to use.
But the lies that throw her the most are those she was told about him.
Strangers arrive on their shores, and she’ll have to work with Draven to stop them from taking their lands. The secrets of her kingdom and Haerland begin to unravel, and Aydra is soon faced with an impossible decision as the war begins.

Betrayal of Kings, Book Three

Four Dead Moons after the events of Flames of Promise, Nyssa and Dorian know they can no longer wait to begin gathering their army for the upcoming wars.

It is only a question of which war will reach them first: the battle with Man, who continue to build along the southwestern shore, or the battle against their traitorous older brother, King Rhaifian Sunfire, in order to claim their rightful crowns and kingdom.

Nyssa and Dorian must put their duty first and trust that what they do is right for Haerland and her people, no matter the cost.

But with betrayal running rampant at every turn, unlikely alliances are formed, and the secrets of Haerland’s true past shake the very foundations of everything they know.

The Honest Scrolls series will have eight full length novels, as well as one or two novellas.

The Gathering is a spicy companion novella to the first book in the Honest Scrolls series, Dead Moons Rising. This novella takes place during the week of the Grand Gathering of Haerland, and features never-before seen scenes between your favorite characters, including Aydra and Draven.

Flames of Promise, Book Two

With their kingdom in ruins, Dorian and Nyssari Eaglefyre must make a choice.

Remain bound to the kingdom and people that betrayed their family and live their lives in silence, or run and be declared traitors of the realm.

Choosing exile, they'll leave their crowns behind and travel south to fulfill the promises they made to Haerland's true High King and Queen: protect Haerland from the strangers invading their shores.

To do this, they'll have to go their separate ways. Dorian to the Blackhand Mountains, where he must secure aid and shelter from the Blackhands for the war. Nyssa to the Umber, where she must attempt to gather the help of the Honest people and then travel to negotiate peace with the foreign King.

Nyssa must choose to follow her heart or fulfill her duty, for if she cannot, she runs the risk of not only never securing an alliance from the Honest, but also ruining the trust they have in their Commander.

Dorian must face trial in the Blackhand town of Dahrkenhill. Despite their High Elder being a friend, the remainder of the people believes him to be a traitor and the reason for the fall of their King. He must prove his innocence to secure the aid the Blackhands had once promised them.

But Haerland continues to hide secrets. And the cursed race they'd thought they'd defeated has a darker plan for them all.
